ASELSAN Showcases Advanced Defense Technologies at EDEX 2025 in Cairo

Türkiye’s leading defence and electronics company ASELSAN is presenting one of the largest and most comprehensive technology displays at EDEX 2025, highlighting its wide portfolio across land, air, naval, and electronic warfare domains. The company’s presence underscores its growing role as a global provider of integrated defence solutions and its expanding partnerships across the Middle East and Africa.

At the exhibition, ASELSAN is showcasing capabilities ranging from communications, radar and avionics solutions to UAV and fighter aircraft payloads, electronic warfare systems, naval systems, air defense platforms, border security, and tank modernization technologies. The company is also displaying its Helicopter Electronic Warfare Self-Protection System (HEHSİS), artillery/mortar solutions, and advanced software-driven command-and-control platforms.

Key Systems Showcased at EDEX 2025

SİPER Long-Range Air Defense System

The SİPER system provides long-range air defense for strategic facilities and national critical infrastructure. Designed for mobility and flexibility, it supports land, air, naval, and rail transport, offers close and remote deployment, and enables multiple and successive engagements through a distributed architecture.

AKKOR Active Protection System

ASELSAN’s AKKOR is a next-generation hard-kill and soft-kill Active Protection System (APS) designed to counter anti-tank missiles and rockets. With high-precision interception at optimal distance, AKKOR enhances survivability for armored platforms on the modern battlefield.

KORKUT Air Defense Gun System

The KORKUT system is engineered to protect mechanized units and mobile formations. With a stabilized unmanned turret and firing-on-the-move capability, it effectively counters UAVs, cruise missiles, and modern aerial threats using conventional 35 mm rounds and ASELSAN’s 35 mm airburst ammunition.

Precision Munitions and Guided Weapons

TOLUN-IIR

The TOLUN-IIR guided bomb integrates GPS/INS/IIR navigation, enabling precision strikes at ranges up to 43 nautical miles. Featuring retarding diamond-shaped canards and an infrared seeker, it ensures high accuracy with minimal collateral damage.

KGK-84 Wing-Assisted Guidance Kit

The KGK-84 converts 2,000 lb general-purpose bombs—including MK-84 and NEB series—into long-range, smart guided munitions using an integrated INS/GPS navigation system.

Naval and Unmanned Systems

MARLIN ASW 100 USV

The MARLIN Unmanned Surface Vessel is a modular, new-generation platform designed for anti-submarine warfare (ASW). It supports various payloads for surveillance, reconnaissance, mine warfare, and maritime security missions.

Advanced Communications and Radar Technologies

HYBRA 3810 Hybrid Terminal

The HYBRA 3810 handheld device provides LTE broadband data alongside narrowband DMR/APCO communications, supporting mission-critical users in complex operational environments.

MURAD 110-A AESA Radar

The MURAD AESA radar delivers agile beam steering for simultaneous air-to-air and air-to-ground missions, incorporating multiple solid-state T/R modules to maintain high operational availability.

ASELSAN Highlights Integrated, End-to-End Defence Capabilities

All systems presented at EDEX 2025 are integrated through ASELSAN’s advanced command-and-control architecture, showcasing the company’s ability to deliver end-to-end, software-driven defence solutions tailored for modern multi-domain operations.

ASELSAN’s strong presence at EDEX 2025 reinforces its position as a key technology partner for nations seeking advanced, interoperable and scalable defence systems.
