Pakistan’s former spy master Lt General Faiz Hameed takes charges as Corp Commander Peshawar

Pakistan’s former spy master Lt Gen Faiz Hameed become commander of Peshawar based “XI Corps”. XI corps is responsible for security of North Western Pakistan and it’s troops saw action in kargil war.

XI corps consists up of

  • – 7th infantry division
  • – 9th infantry division
  • – an independent engg brigade
  • – an independent signals brigade
  • – an independent armored brigade

 

Moreover, former COAS Gen Mirza Aslam Beig also commanded this corps during 1985-1987.

Gen Faiz was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in April 2019 after two-and-a-half-year service in ISI and then was posted as adjutant General at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
