The United States has approved the sale of Tomahawk Cruise Missiles to the government of Japan. Japan has requested to procure up to two hundred (200) Tomahawk Block IV All Up Rounds (AURs) (RGM-109E) and up to two hundred (200) Tomahawk Block V AURs (RGM-109E).
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced on November 17, “The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Japan of Tomahawk Weapon System and related equipment for an estimated cost of $2.35 billion”.
The principal contractor in this arms deal will be Raytheon (RTX).
