Supreme Committee organising IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 meets to discuss preparations for the largest edition to date

The Supreme Organising Committee for the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2025, chaired by Major General Staff Pilot Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri, reviewed preparations for the 17th edition of these landmark events. Scheduled from 17 to 21 February 2025 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, the events will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

A Platform for Cutting-Edge Innovations

Organised by the ADNEC Group, in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, this year’s exhibitions and conference will spotlight transformative defence technologies, particularly those powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

Major General Al Jabri emphasised the UAE’s role as a hub for innovation, stating:

“IDEX and NAVDEX provide a global platform to showcase the latest advancements in defence and security technologies, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to fostering innovation.”

Strengthening Global Partnerships

The 2025 edition aims to attract leading global companies, government officials, and defence industry leaders, fostering collaborations and showcasing technological advancements that address global security challenges. The events will also act as a bridge for partnerships between national and international companies, supporting the UAE’s vision to lead in the defence and security sectors.

Record-Breaking Success of IDEX and NAVDEX 2023

The previous editions in 2023 achieved remarkable milestones, including:

  • AED 23.34 billion in total deals.
  • Participation of 1,353 exhibitors from 65 countries.
  • Over 132,000 visitors and 367 official delegations.

Vision for 2025 and Beyond

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, reaffirmed the commitment to delivering an exceptional 2025 edition, further elevating Abu Dhabi’s status as a premier destination for international defence exhibitions.
