ADNEC Group reviews preparations for IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 with UAE Diplomatic Representatives

The ADNEC Group recently hosted diplomatic representatives and military attachés accredited to the UAE to provide insights into the latest preparations for the largest-ever editions of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and Naval Defence & Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2025, alongside the International Defence Conference.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, these globally renowned events are organized by ADNEC Group in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council. Scheduled to take place from 17 to 21 February 2025 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, the exhibitions promise to showcase unprecedented advancements in defense and security technologies.

Setting New Benchmarks for Global Defence Events

His Excellency Major General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, expressed pride in collaborating with ADNEC Group to deliver this landmark edition. “IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 reflect the UAE’s vision to position itself as a global hub for defense industries. This edition marks a significant milestone, highlighting the latest innovations in defense and security technologies,” he said.

Al Mazrouei emphasized the exhibitions’ three-decade legacy in strengthening the UAE’s role in the global defense sector. “Defence and security industries are not merely ends but serve as enablers of global security, stability, sustainable development, and shared prosperity,” he added.

A Platform for Strategic Partnerships

His Excellency Major General Staff Pilot Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, highlighted the strategic importance of IDEX and NAVDEX. “These exhibitions support and advance the global defense industry while fostering key partnerships. They provide a unique platform to showcase cutting-edge innovations and bring together experts from across six continents,” he said.

He further noted the significant opportunities the events create for Emirati companies to establish global partnerships, enhance their capabilities, and boost international demand for their products and services.

ADNEC’s Role in Advancing the UAE’s Global Standing

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, highlighted the exhibitions’ impact on the UAE’s position as a global hub for defense and advanced technology industries. “Over its 32-year history, IDEX has become one of the world’s largest and most influential defence events, attracting approximately 1.3 million participants and facilitating deals worth over AED 175 billion,” he stated.

Al Dhaheri also noted the exhibitions’ contributions to the national economy through attracting high-quality investments and creating specialised job opportunities. “The 2025 editions are poised to break records in terms of exhibition space and participating companies, reinforcing the UAE’s leadership in defence and advanced technology,” he concluded.
