The Chinese Ministry of National Defense announced on Thursday that a Chinese naval taskforce will participate in the Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-2025, scheduled to take place in mid-February in Karachi, Pakistan.
At the invitation of the Pakistani military, the Chinese contingent will include the guided-missile destroyer Baotou (Hull 133) and the comprehensive supply ship Gaoyouhu (Hull 904). The exercise will focus on key maritime operations, including replenishment at sea, joint anti-piracy efforts, search and rescue missions, and air defense drills.
AMAN-2025 aims to strengthen cooperation among participating navies and enhance collective capabilities to ensure regional maritime security. The biennial exercise, hosted by the Pakistan Navy, serves as a platform for fostering naval collaboration and addressing global maritime challenges.
