The inaugural AMAN Dialogue 2025, organized as a key adjunct to the ongoing Exercise AMAN 2025, commenced today at the Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi. Hosted under the aegis of the Pakistan Navy, the two-day event has brought together Chiefs and Heads of Navies, maritime organizations, and esteemed academicians from across the globe. Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the opening session.
Addressing the attendees, the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, highlighted the importance of the AMAN Dialogue in fostering international collaboration to counter emerging maritime threats. He emphasized the need for maritime nations to share experiences and develop actionable strategies to ensure global maritime security.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, delivering the keynote address, commended the Pakistan Navy for its pivotal role in addressing complex maritime security challenges through a collaborative approach. He also lauded the Navy’s contributions to promoting the Blue Economy and uplifting the socio-economic conditions of coastal communities in Pakistan.
The AMAN Dialogue 2025, themed “Secure Seas, Prosperous Future,” features panel discussions and deliberations on key topics, including maritime security, international maritime cooperation, the Blue Economy, and the influence of technology on maritime operations. The event offers an exclusive platform for global naval leadership and academic experts to devise strategies for a secure and prosperous maritime future.

On the sidelines of the Dialogue, Admiral Naveed Ashraf held interactive meetings with Heads of Navies and Coast Guards from participating nations. These discussions centered on contemporary maritime issues, mutual interests, and opportunities for enhanced maritime collaboration.
