EDGE Group entity ADSB, a regional leader in naval vessel design and construction, has partnered with Spain’s Indra to integrate advanced radar and electronic warfare systems into ADSB’s FA-400 offshore patrol vessel.
The collaboration, facilitated by PULSE, the joint venture between EDGE and Indra, will see the FA-400 equipped with Indra’s cutting-edge 3D Radar, Radar Electronic Support Measures (R-ESM), Communications Electronic Support Measures (C-ESM), and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) jammers, significantly enhancing its operational effectiveness.
The agreement was signed at NAVDEX 2025 by Khaled Al Zaabi, President – Platforms & Systems, EDGE, and Chairman of ADSB, and Ángel Escribano, Executive Chairman of Indra Group.
Khaled Al Zaabi emphasized, “The FA-400, designed and built in the UAE, aligns with our goal of developing world-class naval platforms. Integrating Indra’s advanced radar and electromagnetic systems enhances its operational resilience and adaptability.”
Ángel Escribano added, “Indra’s 3D Radar, EW, and C-UAS solutions bring unmatched capability to naval operations. Our partnership with ADSB advances the sophistication of UAE-built vessels, reinforcing their global competitiveness.”
On display at NAVDEX 2025, the FA-400 showcases its advanced systems, demonstrating UAE’s growing naval defense capabilities. The integration is being delivered through PULSE, strengthening local industrial expertise and sovereign defense capabilities.
