Saab Secures SEK 1.7 Billion Order for TAURUS KEPD 350 Modernization

Saab has received a SEK 1.7 billion contract for the maintenance and modernization of the TAURUS KEPD 350 cruise missile. The agreement, spanning from 2025 to 2035, involves comprehensive system upgrades and lifecycle maintenance for the German Air Force’s TAURUS missiles.

The order was placed by Germany’s defense procurement office (BAAINBw) with TAURUS Systems, a joint venture between MBDA Germany and Saab, serving as the prime contractor.

“TAURUS KEPD 350 enables the user to defeat targets at long ranges required for the most demanding air operations. The latest upgrades will provide the German Air Force with significant improvements,” said Görgen Johansson, Head of Saab’s Dynamics division.

The TAURUS KEPD 350 is an air-launched cruise missile with a range of over 500 km, designed for precision strikes against fortified ground targets. With this contract, Saab strengthens its position as a key player in advanced missile system support and modernization.
