Cubic Awarded FMS Contract to Strengthen Combat Training in Indo-Pacific

Cubic Defense has been awarded a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract to supply its Live Training Systems (LTS) to the Indo-Pacific region, enhancing Force-on-Force (FoF) and Force-on-Target (FoT) training capabilities. This contract reinforces Cubic’s position as a leader in Combat Training Center (CTC) solutions, offering Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems (TESS), instrumentation, and advanced exercise control software.

Russell Marsh, President of Cubic Defense, highlighted the growing demand for multinational training exercises in the Indo-Pacific region. “Cubic’s LTS product lines are deployed at multiple locations throughout the Indo-Pacific, enabling our customers to conduct realistic and interoperable training exercises that enhance regional security. Our focus remains on innovation, ensuring that operational commanders have the tools to make critical and timely decisions, anywhere, anytime.”

Enhancing Regional Combat Training Capabilities

The awarded contract will supply the host country with Cubic’s LTS-Soldier and LTS-Vehicle systems, designed to support multi-code laser standards and ensure seamless interoperability with allied forces’ training systems. Additionally, the program includes:

  • CATS Metrix Exercise Control (EXCON) software – a widely used system for overseeing training missions and post-exercise assessments.
  • LTS-Instrumentation systems – enabling real-time data collection for comprehensive After Action Reviews (AARs).
  • New Equipment Training (NET) – ensuring effective system deployment and integration.

These systems will empower Indo-Pacific allies to conduct realistic combat training exercises independently, eliminating the need for external augmentation or assistance.

Cubic’s Proven Track Record in Live Training Systems

Cubic’s LTS-Soldier and LTS-Vehicle Systems are based on the U.S. Army’s I-MILES Individual Weapon System – 2 (IWS-2) and I-MILES Tactical Vehicle System (TVS) Programs of Record (PORs). Additionally, the LTS-Instrumentation Systems are derived from the U.S. Army’s Army Mobile Instrumentation Training System (AMITS) POR.

Cubic’s CATS Metrix EXCON software, already operational at over 30 locations worldwide, plays a crucial role in FoF, FoT, and constructive training missions.
