JSC ROSOBORONEXPORT (part of Rostec State Corporation) is organizing for the first time an exhibit of Russian military products at the IQDEX 2025 International Defence Exhibition, which will be held from 19 to 22 April 2025 in Baghdad (Iraq).
The exhibition has been held annually since its inception in 2012 under the patronage of the Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces and with the support of the country’s Defence, Interior, and Trade Ministries.
“Iraq is among ROSOBORONEXPORT’s key partners in the Middle East. Russian military equipment is well-known and appreciated here. The country’s armed forces operate, among other things, T-90 and T-72 MBTs, BMP-3 IFVs, TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems, Mi-35 and Mi-28 helicopters, Sukhoi aircraft, and small arms. These weapons helped Iraq to defend its sovereignty against numerous terrorist groups,” – said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of ROSOBORONEXPORT. – “Today ROSOBORONEXPORT is looking forward to intensifying military-technical cooperation with Iraq. During IQDEX 2025 we will offer the Iraqi armed forces and other security agencies new Russian defense products that have been tested under real combat conditions and upgraded based on the results of their combat employment.”
IQDEX is a regional defense exhibition showcasing the latest technologies in the field of weapons and military equipment for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. It is a unique platform to establish and strengthen relationships with businesses, enterprises in Iraq, and the armed forces of the entire region.
For ease of navigation and comfort of visitors, ROSOBORONEXPORT’s exhibit will comprise 6 thematic areas.
- Tactical guided missile weapons – ATGM systems.
