Pakistan’s leading state-owned defense manufacturer, Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), showcased its latest lineup of advanced military systems at the Iraq Defense Exhibition (IQDEX) 2025. This participation underscores Pakistan’s growing capabilities in indigenous defense production and highlights HIT’s commitment to offering modern, battle-ready solutions for today’s armed forces.
Among the key systems on display are the Haider Main Battle Tank, the Al-Khalid Main Battle Tank, and the Advanced Infantry Mortar System (AIMS)—developed in partnership with Comcept Pvt Ltd. These platforms exemplify HIT’s strength in delivering robust and technologically sophisticated defense equipment tailored to modern warfare requirements.
The Chairman of HIT, Lieutenant General Shakir-ullah Khattak, headed the HIT delegation at IQDEX 2025. During the exhibition, he engaged in high-level meetings with several senior officials of the Iraqi military. These discussions focused on exploring avenues for bilateral defense cooperation, knowledge exchange, and potential joint ventures in defense production.
