According to the statements made by the head of Kyrgyzstan’s national security committee, Kamchybek Tashiev, the Kyrgyz state will procure Turkish-origin Bayrakhtar TB2 Unmanned Aerial Combat Vehicles (UCAVs) from Turkey.
Talking about the details of this arms deal, Tashiev Bayraktar said that “they are purchasing Bayrakhtar TB2 armed unmanned aerial vehicles from Turkey.” In addition to this procurement, “Kyrgyzstan will procure 40 armored vehicles and Orlan-10 type unmanned aerial vehicles from Russia.”
Again, within the framework of the statements made by Tashiev, he said that the first UAVs they purchased are on the assembly line at Baykar (Bayrakhtar’s manufacturer) facilities, and they would receive them soon.
The reason why Turkey’s defense industry exports are increasing gradually is that its products are cheap, of high quality, versatile, suitable for joint production, and have proven themselves in wars. In this way, Turkish drones are desired to be supplied by many countries.
