In a landmark move to enhance its unmanned aerial capabilities, the Pakistan Army has established its first Drone Support Cell at 9 Division in Kohat, in collaboration with UAS-G, a leading Pakistani defense technology company specializing in unmanned systems. The facility was inaugurated by Major General Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti, General Officer Commanding 9 Division, alongside Senior Army command and Rafay Shaik, Chief Executive Officer of UAS-G.
This dedicated cell is designed to support Advanced Drone Operations, Training, and Maintenance, with a core focus on Loitering Munitions and Kamikaze Drones—critical assets in modern and asymmetrical warfare environments.

As part of its comprehensive infrastructure, the Drone Support Cell features:
- State-of-the-art simulators to provide realistic mission training and tactical preparedness.
- An advanced repair and maintenance bench equipped with digital diagnostics for the effective servicing of over 20 variants of loitering munitions and kamikaze UAVs.
The establishment of this facility reflects the Pakistan Army’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge indigenous technologies into its operational framework. It also positions UAS-G as a key partner in supporting national defense innovation and technological self-reliance.
Amid growing global reliance on unmanned systems and shifting regional security dynamics, this Drone Support Cell is the first in a planned network aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s operational readiness and technological edge in the domain of unmanned warfare.
