Pakistan Air Force Showcases JF-17C and C-130H in Special Livery at RIAT 2025

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) made a commanding appearance at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025, showcasing its latest JF-17C Block-III multirole fighter and a C-130H Hercules tactical transport aircraft, both adorned in special commemorative liveries that captured global attention.

At the heart of PAF’s display was the JF-17C Block-III, the most advanced version of the Thunder fighter series jointly developed by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and China’s Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC). Equipped with an AESA radar, Helmet Mounted Display (HMD), and an upgraded weapons suite, the aircraft reflects Pakistan’s growing self-reliance in defense manufacturing and aerial combat capabilities.

The JF-17C Block-III’s special livery, co-designed by Rehan Siraj and Tipu Creativity, earned the aircraft the “Spirit of the Meet Trophy”, awarded to the aircraft that best embodies the spirit of RIAT. Speaking to Global Defense Insight, both designers shared their creative vision:

“Inspired by the electrifying force of a thunderbolt, this design embodies the fierce striking power and formidable presence of the JF-17 Thunder. From the first spark of imagination, through countless nights of relentless effort — from conceptual sketches to intricate 3D CAD models, and finally bringing it to life on the aircraft itself — this livery is a testament to unwavering dedication and passion. Above all, this creation is a heartfelt tribute to the resilient spirit and indomitable will of the people of Pakistan.”

Alongside the fighter, the PAF’s C-130H Hercules also stood out with a vibrant and culturally rich paint scheme, continuing a tradition of showcasing Pakistan’s national identity through aviation artistry. The aircraft received the “Concours d’Elegance Trophy”, awarded to the best-presented aircraft on static display.

The Pakistan Air Force’s showcase at RIAT 2025 has been widely praised by aviation professionals and international audiences, reinforcing its reputation as a modern and innovative air force on the global stage.
