SAMI Alsalam Aerospace Industries Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), has signed four major commercial aviation agreements with SkyFive Arabia, Jazeera Airways, ALPHASTAR Aviation, and ARTS Aviation Asset Management FZCO. The announcements mark SAMI Alsalam’s strategic re-entry into the commercial aviation sector and reflect its growing ambition to support regional and international operators.
The agreements were formalized during the Dubai Airshow 2025 in the presence of His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA); Eng. Thamer AlMuhid, CEO of SAMI; and Eng. Sami Alnajem, CEO of SAMI Alsalam.
Advanced Connectivity with SkyFive Arabia
The first agreement, signed with SkyFive Arabia, focuses on installing and testing advanced Air-to-Ground (A2G) inflight connectivity systems on Flynas aircraft. The project includes system installation, wiring, and ground testing for Flynas fleets, as well as up to 120 additional aircraft for other operators. The collaboration marks the region’s first integration of A2G connectivity systems, establishing SAMI Alsalam as SkyFive’s exclusive partner for modification and testing.
Heavy Maintenance Collaboration with Jazeera Airways
A second agreement—a Memorandum of Understanding with Jazeera Airways—aims to develop heavy maintenance capabilities for the airline’s fleet. The partnership will enable advanced MRO programs at SAMI Alsalam’s facilities in Saudi Arabia, strengthening the company’s maintenance portfolio and supporting deeper regional cooperation in commercial aviation.
Private Aviation MRO Expansion with ALPHASTAR
The third MoU, signed with ALPHASTAR Aviation, sets the foundation for cooperation in private aviation MRO services. The agreement is designed to expand SAMI Alsalam’s expertise in business aviation maintenance, attract new operators to the Kingdom, and provide specialized technical support for private jet fleets across the region.
Integrated Support Solutions with ARTS Aviation
The fourth agreement with ARTS Aviation Asset Management FZCO focuses on developing comprehensive support solutions for a range of aircraft types, including maintenance services, supply chain support, and technical consultancy. The partnership aims to broaden SAMI Alsalam’s service offerings and enhance operational efficiency for regional and international customers.
