EDGE Group’s Brazilian defence subsidiary, SIATT, has signed a major contract to supply a fully integrated anti-tank solution to the Brazilian Marine Corps. The agreement was formalised at Dubai Airshow 2025, where the company showcased its expanding portfolio of precision-guided weapons and unmanned systems. The new system is designed to enhance Brazil’s land and amphibious warfare capabilities with a mobile, networked, and highly adaptable anti-armour platform.
Under the contract, SIATT will deliver the Expeditionary Anti-Tank Missile System (SMACE), mounted on two high-mobility 4×4 vehicles equipped with light ballistic protection for operations in complex and demanding environments. The solution integrates the MAX 1.2 extended-range guided missile, developed by SIATT, alongside a drone platform capable of ISR missions and ground-attack roles. This combined architecture provides improved mobility, enhanced situational awareness, and a networked command system linking all mission-critical components in real time.

The Marine Corps Materiel Command (CMatFN) has outlined specific tactical requirements for the system, including fast engagement and disengagement, distributed operations, and long-range battlefield awareness through unmanned systems. The SMACE system addresses these priorities by utilising ISR drones, tactical data links, and precision missiles to counter armoured vehicles across both land and amphibious environments.
Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE, said the project reflects the growing partnership between EDGE and the Brazilian Marine Corps.
“This new anti-tank solution reflects just one of several initiatives we are pursuing with the Brazilian Marine Corps. By integrating advanced guided missiles, unmanned systems, and a networked command architecture, it strengthens Brazil’s ability to counter threats while bolstering the overall capability of its armed forces,” he stated.
He added that the agreement highlights EDGE’s expanding presence in Latin America and its long-term commitment to collaboration and co-development.
Production to Expand After Initial Delivery in 2026
The first SMACE system is scheduled for delivery and operational evaluation in 2026, after which SIATT plans to double production capacity to support additional units in the coming years. The initiative reinforces EDGE’s strategy of delivering tailored defence solutions while expanding industrial cooperation with key partners in the Latin American region.
The contract marks another step in the strong defence relationship between Brazil and EDGE, further positioning SIATT as a leading provider of precision weapons and integrated battlefield systems.
