The sixth edition of the Margalla Dialogue 2025, organised by the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI), concluded today at the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, featuring a diverse lineup of policymakers, diplomats, scholars, and industry experts under the theme “The Future of Global Order: Cooperation or Confrontation”.
Over the two-day event, participants engaged in intensive discussions on the evolving strategic landscape, including great-power competition, regional connectivity, the application of artificial intelligence in security, and the future role of multilateral institutions. Key sessions emphasised that a new multipolar world is taking shape and that traditional models of unilateral dominance are giving way to more complex networks of power.
In the closing session, panelists reached a broad consensus that cooperation across technology, economy and security spheres is now imperative. The event underscored Pakistan’s active role as a regional connectivity hub, while stressing the importance of reforms in global governance, equitable access to advanced technologies, and harnessing AI for both development and security.
