IDV has announced a major contract expansion with the Italian Ministry of Defence to supply an additional 658 tactical-logistic trucks to the Italian Army. The new award extends the original 2024 contract for 1,453 vehicles, increasing the total fleet to 2,111 units. Deliveries are scheduled to continue through 2039.
The expanded agreement marks a major step in modernising Italy’s land logistics fleet and enhancing the Army’s long-term operational support capabilities.

The newly added vehicles will be built on IDV’s latest generation of standard military trucks, covering a broad selection of logistics platforms. These include:

IDV will also provide full logistic support, including maintenance, technical assistance, and lifecycle services for the entire fleet, ensuring long-term operational readiness.
Strengthening Italy’s Defence Mobility
The extended contract highlights IDV’s commitment to supporting Italy’s land operational capabilities. The company’s role in supplying next-generation logistics vehicles further reinforces Italy’s strategy to expand and modernise its ground mobility assets.
The original agreement with the Direzione Armamenti Terrestri (DAT) involved deliveries from 2025 to 2038. With this new expansion, the programme will continue into 2039, ensuring a steady rollout of modern tactical-logistic assets across the Italian Army.
