Taliban has taken control of the country’s second-largest provincial capital of Kandahar.
Videos over social media evidence the ANA troops fleeing from the city after Taliban took hold over it.
Kandahar is also strategically important city. Yesterday, Taliban took control of the city of Ghazni which lies 130 km southwest of Kabul and taken control of the key highways leads to Afghan Capital.

The Foreign embassies in Kandahar got their staff out when the insurgents raised white flag over the city.
Other than that Taliban also squeezed Herat, another Provincial Capital.
Taliban also seized key government offices including governor office.
