Airbus significantly increased its A220 deliveries in June, handing over 12 aircraft. This is more than double the number of five deliveries made in May. The accelerated output is a promising sign as the manufacturer aims to reach a monthly production rate of 14 A220s by 2026.
Since the start of 2025, Airbus has delivered 41 A220s to customers. The uptick in June deliveries took place at the Mirabel final assembly line in Canada, where Airbus continues to refine production processes to meet rising demand.
Narrowbody and Widebody Trends
In addition to the A220, Airbus delivered 43 aircraft from its A320neo family in June. The breakdown included 23 A321neos and 20 A320neos. This shows the ongoing shift in customer preference toward the larger A321neo variant. However, the A320 family deliveries were slightly constrained due to a continued shortage of CFM International Leap-1A engines, which has affected output consistency in recent months.
On the widebody side, Airbus delivered two A330-900s, one each to Malaysia Airlines and Kuwait Airways. Meanwhile, five A350-900s were handed over to Emirates, Air France, Lufthansa, Delta Air Lines, and Sichuan Airlines each.
Strong Order Intake Across Families
June was also a positive month on the orders front. Airbus recorded 203 gross orders. The A330-900 orders, surprisingly, lead the tally at 61 units. It was followed by the A320neo family with 57 orders, the A220 with 40, and the A350 with 35. The strong orderbook suggests robust interest across both narrowbody and widebody categories. The growing momentum in sales supports Airbus’s plans to scale up production over the next year.
So far in 2025, Airbus has delivered 306 aircraft to 65 customers, putting it on track toward its annual target of around 820 deliveries, up from 766 in 2024.
