ASELSAN Demonstrates GÖZDE Precision Guidance Kit in Live-Fire Test

ASELSAN, Türkiye’s leading defense company, has successfully conducted a live-fire test of the GÖZDE Precision Guidance Kit, demonstrating its ability to strike moving targets with exceptional accuracy. The test, held on February 27, 2025, highlighted the system’s advanced tracking and engagement capabilities, reinforcing Türkiye’s expertise in precision-strike technologies.

Developed in collaboration with TÜBİTAK Defense Industries Research and Development Institute (SAGE), the GÖZDE Precision Guidance Kit features an integrated INS/GNSS/Laser Seeker guidance system. During the test, the target was designated by an electro-optical system on an F-16 aircraft, enabling GÖZDE to successfully track and neutralize the moving target with precision.

Designed to enhance aerial strike capabilities, the GÖZDE Precision Guidance Kit transforms the widely used MK-82 (500 LB) bomb family into a highly effective and cost-efficient solution for engaging both stationary and moving targets. The system is compatible with various platforms, including manned and unmanned aircraft such as the F-16 and Bayraktar AKINCI, providing a strategic advantage in modern combat scenarios.

Ahmet Akyol, President & CEO of ASELSAN, emphasized the significance of this breakthrough, stating:

“With the successful demonstration of GÖZDE’s ability to engage high-speed moving targets with pinpoint accuracy, we have proudly showcased ASELSAN’s advanced expertise in precision-strike technologies. This game-changing capability, possessed by only a select few nations, provides Türkiye with a significant strategic advantage and strengthens our global competitiveness. As we advance toward our 2030 vision of becoming one of the world’s top 30 defense companies, this achievement underscores our commitment to delivering cutting-edge, indigenous solutions tailored to modern battlefield requirements.”
