ASELSAN, Türkiye’s premier defense electronics company, reinforced its strategic presence in Southeast Asia by forging multiple defense partnerships with Malaysian companies during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2025. These agreements underscore ASELSAN’s growing role as a trusted defense technology provider in the Asia-Pacific region.
At LIMA 2025, ASELSAN signed two teaming agreements and one Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on joint production, joint system development, and integrated defense solutions with key Malaysian defense industry players. These deals aim to elevate Malaysia’s domestic defense capabilities and foster long-term industrial collaboration.
The first agreement, signed with Sapura Secured Technologies, includes joint product development and production as well as national cryptology initiatives to enhance military communications systems. In partnership with MILDEF International Technologies, ASELSAN will supply advanced remote-controlled weapon stations, electro-optical systems, and command and control solutions for integration into the Malaysian Army’s Tarantula Armored Vehicles. Additionally, a collaboration with Ventura IOT will see the joint development of pipeline security solutions tailored for military applications.
Alongside these signings, ASELSAN showcased a wide array of its latest technologies, including close-in defense systems, unmanned surface vehicles, sonar systems, and torpedo countermeasures. The company also presented its innovative radar systems, electronic warfare suites, electro-optical payloads for UAVs, and air defense platforms, solidifying its role as a comprehensive defense solutions provider.
