ASELSAN Unveils Cutting-Edge Naval Defense Systems at IDEF 2025

ASELSAN, Türkiye’s leading defense technology company, has unveiled a suite of next-generation naval defense systems at the IDEF 2025 exhibition in İstanbul. The newly launched platforms—DERİNGÖZ Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, GÖKSUR Vertical Launch System (VLS), and CENK 4D 2-Axis AESA Multifunctional Radar—are engineered to provide comprehensive and integrated protection across underwater, surface, and aerial maritime domains.

The announcement marks a significant milestone in ASELSAN’s commitment to enhancing maritime situational awareness, force protection, and operational resilience for modern naval forces.

DERİNGÖZ: Next-Gen Autonomous Underwater Vehicle

The DERİNGÖZ Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) is designed for long-endurance operations and autonomous navigation in complex maritime environments. It provides critical capabilities such as underwater surveillance, reconnaissance, mine countermeasures, and coastal protection, enabling naval forces to conduct extended missions without human intervention.

GÖKSUR VLS: Advanced Naval Point Defense Missile System

GÖKSUR Vertical Launch System (VLS)

The GÖKSUR Vertical Launch System (VLS) is ASELSAN’s answer to modern aerial and surface threats. Designed for naval close-in defense, GÖKSUR delivers agile, AI-assisted firepower capable of neutralizing sea-skimming cruise missiles, UAVs, and low-flying fighter jets. Its advanced fire control system enables simultaneous target detection, tracking, and engagement under intense combat conditions.

CENK 4D Radar: Multifunctional AESA Surveillance Solution

CENK 4D is a 2-axis AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar system developed to provide wide-area surveillance and target tracking. The radar continuously monitors hundreds of surface and aerial threats in real-time, delivering uninterrupted performance even in rough sea states and extreme weather. Integrated with the IDENTIFFY SSR-850 IFF system, it enhances target recognition and improves reliability in high-threat environments.

A Vision for Future Naval Operations

Speaking at the launch, ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol stated, “At IDEF 2025, we are proudly introducing our naval systems, each designed to address the requirements of today’s and future multidimensional maritime operations. These solutions reflect ASELSAN’s commitment to developing integrated, resilient, and adaptable technologies that strengthen naval forces, both in Türkiye and across the world.”
