Bahrain has received the first shipment of Lockheed Martin’s Patriot Advanced Capability – 3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptors, Lockheed Martin announced today.
The advanced capabilities of PAC-3 MSE will enhance Bahrain’s air and missile defense capabilities, contributing to regional security. This marks the initial shipment of several deliveries of PAC-3 MSEs to the country.
Brenda Davidson, the vice president of PAC-3 Programs, emphasized that the combat-proven Hit-to-Kill interceptor, PAC-3 MSE, is effective against tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, advanced threats, and aircraft. The deployment of PAC-3 MSE aims to assist Bahrain in deterring evolving regional threats and safeguarding its national integrity.
Utilizing Hit-to-Kill technology, PAC-3 delivers increased kinetic energy to the target through direct body-to-body contact, surpassing the capabilities of blast-fragmentation mechanisms. With fifteen nations opting for PAC-3, it stands as a trusted choice for advanced air and missile defense capabilities.
