Bombardier Delivers First Challenger 3500 Business Jet in Costa Rica, Expanding Central American Presence

Bombardier delivered its first Challenger 3500 business jet to a customer. This delivery is marking a key milestone for the company’s expansion in Central America. The aircraft’s popularity in the region reflects Bombardier’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in business aviation markets.

The Challenger 3500, introduced in 2022, builds on the legacy of the best-selling Challenger 300 series. Designed for the super-midsize segment, it offers a balance of performance and luxury. A blend that appeals to both corporate and private operators.

“Challenger is highly reliability, has a modern cabin and exceptional runway performance. It has quickly established itself as the aircraft of choice for customers around the world”, said Michael Anckner. “This delivery marks an important growth milestone for our fleet in Central America. It clearly demonstrates the trust that clients in the region have in Bombardier.”

Optimized for Regional and Long-Haul Connectivity

The Challenger 3500 is suited for Central America’s geographic and operational demands. It has a range of 3,400 nautical miles and top-tier fuel efficiency. The plane can connect San José with key destinations such as New York, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and Santiago. This capacity enables both business and leisure travelers to move between major economic hubs.

The aircraft’s modern cabin, advanced avionics, and smooth ride have made it a compelling choice among operators. Including these are operators who prioritize both passenger comfort and operational flexibility. Its runway performance also makes it practical for airports with limited infrastructure. This is a key consideration in some Central American locales.

Strengthening Bombardier’s Regional Footprint

Bombardier is growing its presence in Latin America, as indicated by this latest delivery. This region shows steady demand for super-midsize business jets. The Costa Rica milestone is part of Bombardier’s broader initiative to expand in high-growth markets.

Since its launch, the Challenger 3500 has continued the legacy of the Challenger 300 series. These are the world’s most delivered super-midsize business jets. Having earned praise for its combination of luxury, performance, and cost-efficiency.
