EDGE and FNSS collaborate to upgrade the UAE’s Infantry Fighting Vehicles

Turkiye’s leading defense contractor, FNSS, has signed an agreement with the UAE’s premier defense conglomerate, EDGE, to jointly modernize the UAE’s Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs).

The agreement, signed during the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2025, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) until 21 February, focuses on upgrading the mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of the UAE’s armored fleet.

Advancing Combat-Ready Solutions

Speaking on the collaboration, Rashed Al Kaabi emphasized the partnership’s significance, stating:
“By bringing together FNSS’s extensive expertise in vehicle modernization and our proven track record in MRO, we aim to integrate advanced technologies that extend the lifespan and effectiveness of the UAE Armed Forces’ armored fleet, ultimately enhancing their mission readiness and performance. This collaboration underscores AL TAIF’s dedication to innovation and excellence in defense solutions, ensuring that the UAE Armed Forces is equipped with best-in-market systems to meet evolving operational demands.”

Echoing this sentiment, Kadir Nail Kurt highlighted FNSS’s extensive modernization experience, stating:
“FNSS has a history of successfully completing modernization programs for various armies, including those of Turkiye, the USA, GCC nations, and Southeast Asia. Leveraging our expertise in next-generation vehicle development, FNSS delivers cutting-edge solutions for vehicle sustainability programs tailored to user requirements and specifications. Our capability enhancement and life extension solutions provide substantial upgrades in reliability and durability, ensuring these vehicles remain effective and relevant for modern combat needs.”
