EDGE Group’s EPI, a leader in precision engineering in the UAE’s aerospace, oil and gas, and defense sectors, has announced a strategic partnership with General Atomics-Systems Integration (GA-SI), an affiliate of General Atomics. The collaboration was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2025, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The partnership focuses on the production, testing, and repair of electromechanical systems. Enabled by the Tawazun Council through the Tawazun Economic Program, the collaboration will lead to significant advancements in aviation technology. A key milestone of the partnership includes certifying EPI’s facility as a Part 145 repair center, which will involve rigorous production airworthiness certification processes, as well as the testing and evaluation of prototype units to ensure compliance with the highest industry standards.
