EDGE Awarded UAE MoD Contract to Supply Advanced GPS Anti-Jamming Systems

EDGE, a global leader in advanced technology and defense, has secured a UAE Ministry of Defence (MoD) contract worth AED 227 million to supply GPS-PROTECT anti-jamming systems. The agreement was signed at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference 2025 (IDEX 2025), taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) until 21 February.

Under the contract, EDGE’s electronic warfare subsidiary SIGN4L will manufacture and deliver GPS-PROTECT anti-jammers to the UAE MoD. Designed to shield global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers from jamming and interference, GPS-PROTECT ensures the uninterrupted operation of critical mission equipment.

Omar Al Zaabi, President – Trading and Mission Support, EDGE, emphasized the importance of the system, stating:

“In today’s operational landscape, satellite technology is essential for command, control, and navigation across all platforms. GPS-PROTECT was specifically developed to maintain satellite signal integrity in contested environments, ensuring continuous operation for air, land, and sea assets. This contract marks a crucial step in securing the UAE’s dominance in the electromagnetic spectrum.”

Attendees at IDEX 2025 can explore EDGE’s innovations at indoor stand 05-C20 in Hall 5 and outdoor stand CP-270.
