Türkiye has long expressed interest in acquiring a modern, capable multirole fighter to replace aging fleets and bolster its strategic deterrence. The MoU with the UK will help accelerate access to modern defense technology while expanding bilateral defense cooperation.
This development does not constitute a finalized deal but it represents a shift in defense industry dynamics. European manufacturers are seeking new export markets amid changing geopolitical conditions.
