FNSS and SAMI LAND Sign Agreement to Localize 8x8 Armoured Vehicle Production in Saudi Arabia

Turkish armored vehicle manufacturer FNSS and Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) LAND have signed a landmark framework agreement to localize the production of new generation 8×8 armored vehicles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed during IDEF 2025 by senior defense officials from both countries, aligning with Riyadh’s strategic Vision 2030 initiative.

The deal was signed by Eng. Mohammed Bin Saud Alhodaib, Executive Vice President of Land Systems at SAMI LAND, and Kadir Nail Kurt, CEO of FNSS. It was signed in the presence of H.E. Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Biyari, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs; Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, President of Türkiye’s Defence Industries Agency; and H.E. Eng. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries.

Strategic Collaboration to Boost Local Defense Capabilities

This agreement aims to establish local manufacturing capabilities for advanced 8×8 armored vehicles. Thus, strengthening Saudi Arabia’s domestic industry and reducing reliance on foreign suppliers. The partnership involves technology transfer, workforce development, and integration of local supply chains.
