This strategic cooperation combines cutting-edge expertise in armored vehicle design, turret systems, advanced optronics, and local manufacturing capabilities to deliver a ready-to-deploy, technologically advanced military vehicle tailored for modern battlefield requirements.
Under the agreement, the companies will collaborate in the following areas:
• Vehicle manufacturing and assembly
• Armored vehicle design
• Optronic system supply
• Manned turret integration
The joint offer will provide the Spanish Army with a military off-the-shelf solution that includes localized integrated logistics support and comprehensive lifecycle management.
Strengthening Local Industry and Technological Edge
TSD, a Spanish company with over 25 years of experience and more than 15,000 vehicles delivered worldwide, will lead local vehicle assembly and production.
Grupo Oesía, a prominent Spanish multinational specializing in dual-use digital and industrial engineering, will contribute with its advanced capabilities in optronics, secure communications, simulation, and UAV systems.
FNSS, a globally recognized Turkish land systems manufacturer, brings its extensive portfolio in wheeled and tracked armored combat vehicles, engineering solutions, and unmanned systems.
John Cockerill Defense, renowned for its military engineering excellence, will integrate its TRL 9-certified 3030 manned turret, featuring a 30mm airburst-capable weapon system, STANAG 4569 Level 4 protection, and 250 ready-to-fire rounds—delivering 20% more firepower than comparable systems.
Delivering a Superior Cavalry Vehicle
Designed specifically for cavalry and expeditionary operations, the 6×6 armored platform combines high survivability, mobility, and firepower. Over 300 units of the 3030 turret have already been produced, delivered, and fielded in active service, reinforcing its proven reliability and performance.
This MoU not only reflects a shared commitment to supporting the modernization of the Spanish Armed Forces but also strengthens industrial cooperation within Europe’s defense sector.
