HAVELSAN, a leading Turkish flight simulator manufacturer, has announced the successful renewal of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Level D certification for an Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) operated by the International Flight Training Center (IFTC), a Gözen Holding company.
The Airbus A320 simulator, constructed by HAVELSAN, is housed at IFTC, Türkiye’s first independent full-flight simulator training center. Established in 2008, IFTC operates two training facilities — one in Istanbul and one in Antalya — equipped with five full flight simulators for Airbus A320 and Boeing B737NG aircraft types.
IFTC is internationally recognized for supporting airlines and industry stakeholders with advanced pilot training solutions. In May 2024, the center ordered a HAVELSAN-manufactured Airbus A320 NEO/CEO full flight simulator, featuring three engine options. The installation and testing were completed within a month, and the simulator achieved EASA Level D certification in July 2024, allowing immediate commencement of training operations.
HAVELSAN continues to support IFTC’s expansion plans, aiming to strengthen Türkiye’s position as a global hub for pilot training. The company currently has several Airbus A320 simulators in production, with two more units scheduled for delivery in 2025.
“Our commitment extends beyond delivering world-class simulators — we focus on providing unmatched after-sales support and long-term collaboration opportunities,” said a HAVELSAN spokesperson.
