A cooperation agreement was officially signed between the organiser of the Homeland Security Equipment Exhibition (IGEF) and the Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) & Orion Tekmer. This agreement aims to promote collaborative initiatives leading up to IGEF’25, enhance industry-wide cooperation, and create mutually advantageous opportunities in the field of homeland security.
The signing ceremony took place on May 14 at the THK & Orion Tekmer Headquarters. The event was attended by several distinguished figures, including Governor Kemal Yurtnaç, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at THK; Dr. İbrahim Taşdemir, Vice President of THK; Prof. Dr. Rahmi Er, Rector of THK University; İzzet Tuna, General Manager of the Turkish Police Force Strengthening Foundation; Atilla Önal, Deputy General Manager of the Gendarmerie Public Order Foundation; Zeki Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board for IGEF’25; Fırat Kara, Founder of THK & Orion Tekmer; İsa Uysal, General Manager of THK & Orion Tekmer; along with other guests.

In his opening remarks, İsa Uysal, General Manager of THK & Orion Tekmer, emphasised that the cooperation agreement reflects a shared commitment to advancing Türkiye’s internal security technology landscape and supporting its entrepreneurial ecosystem and He noted:
“IGEF’25 is more than just an exhibition—it is a hub for innovation where future-focused ideas meet practical field applications. At THK & Orion Tekmer, we aim to function as a bridge, connecting entrepreneurs in strategic sectors like defence and homeland security with the networks, collaborations, and pathways necessary to turn their solutions into real-world tools.”
Zeki Erdoğan, Chairman of IGEF’25, highlighted the country’s strong foundation and experience in homeland security, pointing out the opportunity to further amplify its capabilities on both national and international stages. Governor Kemal Yurtnaç also shared his satisfaction with the new partnership, underscoring its potential to deliver long-term benefits for the sector.
