Russian defense contractor, “Kalashnikov”, delivered the first batch of upgraded AK-12 rifles (2023 model) in January under state contracts for 2025. The AK-12 continues to serve as the primary individual automatic weapon for the Russian Armed Forces, maintaining consistently high production volumes each year.
Last year, the company’s firearms division completed obligations for dozens of products ahead of schedule. To achieve this, Kalashnikov expanded its machinery inventory and continued large-scale modernization of its production facilities and technological processes.

“Kalashnikov, as the flagship of the domestic small arms industry, not only fulfills its contractual obligations ahead of schedule but also constantly improves its products, the quality of which directly impacts the lives of military personnel,” emphasized the company’s CEO, Alan Lushnikov.
