The Indonesian Navy’s KRI Bung Tomo (357) actively participates in the 9th Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN 2025, hosted by the Pakistan Navy from February 7–11 in Karachi. Bringing together naval forces, special operations teams, and observers from over 60 nations, the exercise operates under the theme “Together for Peace.”
KRI Bung Tomo takes part in both the Harbour Phase—featuring seminars, operational discussions, and international engagements—and the Sea Phase, which includes counter-piracy drills, counterterrorism operations, and tactical naval exercises.
A Bung Tomo-class corvette, KRI Bung Tomo (357) was originally built in the United Kingdom before being commissioned into the Indonesian Navy. Equipped with advanced weaponry and surveillance systems, the vessel enhances Indonesia’s maritime security capabilities. Its presence at AMAN 2025 reinforces Indonesia’s dedication to regional stability and naval cooperation.
