Lancet-E Unveiled for the First Time in the Middle East

The Lancet-E loitering munition system, an export variant of the battle-tested ZALA reconnaissance and strike system, is making its debut in the Middle East at IDEX 2025, the region’s premier defense exhibition running from February 17 to 21 in Abu Dhabi.

The Lancet-E system comprises the Z-16E short-range reconnaissance UAV and two precision-guided munitions, “Izdelie 51-E” and “Izdelie 52-E”, both of which have proven their effectiveness against advanced NATO weaponry in active combat scenarios.

Designed for long-range precision strikes, the Lancet-E is engineered to neutralize armored vehicles and artillery positioned beyond the frontlines. The system boasts high maneuverability, extended endurance, and a secure communication link. Equipped with an HD camera and thermal imaging system, integrated into the Z-16E UAV, it provides real-time targeting and battlefield assessment, ensuring accurate and lethal strikes.

The Lancet-E’s unveiling at IDEX 2025 highlights the growing demand for advanced loitering munitions in modern warfare, reinforcing the region’s interest in cutting-edge unmanned aerial systems for defense and strategic operations.
