Naval Group and the Egyptian Navy have officially signed a five-year extension to their ongoing In-Service Support (ISS) agreement, reinforcing a long-term partnership that began nearly a decade ago. The contract ensures continued maintenance, upgrades, and operational readiness for key vessels delivered by Naval Group to Egypt.
Under the renewed agreement, Naval Group’s engineering and technical teams will support seven major naval platforms:

FREMM multi-mission frigate Tahya Misr

Two Egyptian Landing Helicopter Docks (E-LHD): Gamal Abdel Nasser and Anwar El Sadat

Four Gowind® corvettes: El Fateh, Port Said, El Moez, and Al Ismailia
The expansion highlights Egypt’s commitment to sustaining high fleet availability while integrating advanced technologies across its naval assets.
Strengthening a Strategic Naval Partnership
The extension builds on an existing ISS contract first signed in 2019, further solidifying Naval Group’s long-term presence in Egypt. Over the past decade, Naval Group has delivered some of the Egyptian Navy’s most strategic assets, including:

Local Industry Participation to Expand
The contract renewal also supports Egypt’s industrial ecosystem. Naval Group confirmed that the company will:
