The Embassy of Pakistan in Bahrain celebrated the 78th Independence Anniversary of Pakistan with great enthusiasm, drawing a large gathering of Pakistanis residing in the Kingdom. The vibrant event was marked by the presence of children and families, adding to the spirit of patriotism and national pride.
Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Official Messages
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the national flag at the Embassy premises. Messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read to the audience. The Ambassador of Pakistan then addressed the gathering, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to unity, progress, and resilience. A documentary on Marka-i-Haq was also screened, highlighting the nation’s historic struggle and sacrifices.
Photo Exhibition on Marka-i-Haq and Operation Bunyan un Marsoos
To commemorate the occasion, the Mission organized a day-long photo exhibition showcasing key moments from Marka-i-Haq. The exhibition featured images of military equipment used during Operation Bunyan un Marsoos, including aircraft, missiles, and cybersecurity systems. It also reflected the steadfast resolve of Pakistan’s civil and military leadership during the operation.
Community Engagement Across Bahrain
The Pakistani community actively participated in the Independence Day festivities, with various community groups organizing separate events across Bahrain. These gatherings, attended by both Pakistanis and Bahraini nationals, underscored strong bilateral ties. The Mission played a central role in mobilizing, coordinating, and participating in these events, while also highlighting Pakistan’s achievements in Operation Bunyan un Marsoos.
Royal and Media Congratulatory Messages
On the occasion, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Speaker of the National Assembly extended heartfelt congratulations to Pakistan.
Prominent Bahraini newspapers, including The Daily Tribune and Gulf Daily News, published special Independence Day supplements featuring messages from Pakistan’s leadership and the Ambassador.
