Haider Tank is a 3rd Generation Plus Tank that has been manufactured through collaboration with a Chinese defense contractor, “NORINCO” and various local industries of Pakistan. The Tank incorporates modern state-of-the-art technologies and astounding capabilities which gives it a definitive edge over any adversary on the battlefield. Specifications of Haider Main Battle Tank:
The Haider tank has dimensions of 10.10 meters (33.1 feet) in length, 3.44 meters (11.3 feet) in width, and a height of 2.40 meters (7 feet 10 inches). Weighing 52 tonnes (57 short tons), it is powered by a VT/E1 V12 diesel engine that generates 1,200 horsepower (895 kW) at 2,300 rpm, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 23 horsepower per tonne. Thanks to its decent P/W ratio, The Haider tank can reach a maximum speed of 70 km/h (43 mph) and has an operational range of 500 kilometers (310 miles).
For protection, the Haider tank uses a combination of composite armor and FY-2/4 Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA). Its primary armament is the ZPT-98A 125mm smoothbore gun, capable of carrying 38 rounds (22 in the autoloader). Complementing this main gun are secondary armaments including a Remote Weapon Station (RWS) with a W-85 12.7×108mm heavy machine gun for anti-aircraft and anti-personnel role as well as a 7.62mm machine gun coaxial to 125mm main gun.
