The People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) ships, PLANS Baotou (133) and PLANS Gaoyouhu, are participating in the 9th Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN 2025, hosted by the Pakistan Navy from February 7–11 in Karachi. The event brings together naval forces, special operations teams, and observers from over 60 nations under the theme “Together for Peace.”
PLANS Baotou and PLANS Gaoyouhu are actively engaged in both the Harbour Phase—comprising seminars, operational discussions, and international engagements—and the Sea Phase, which includes counter-piracy drills, counterterrorism operations, and tactical naval exercises.

PLANS Baotou (133), a Type 052D guided missile destroyer, features advanced radar and air defense systems, enhancing PLAN’s blue-water operational capabilities. PLANS Gaoyouhu, a Type 903A replenishment ship, provides logistical support to naval fleets during extended deployments. Their participation in AMAN 2025 highlights China’s strategic commitment to maritime stability and international naval cooperation.
