AMAN 2025 focused on enhancing collaboration, improving joint operational capabilities, and addressing emerging maritime security challenges, including piracy, illicit trafficking, and maritime terrorism.

The exercise was conducted in two key phases:

  2. Sea Phase: Conducted in the Arabian Sea, involving anti-piracy drills, search and rescue (SAR) operations, maritime interdiction exercises, and fleet maneuvers to improve multinational coordination.

AMAN Dialogue: Addressing Maritime Security Challenges

A key highlight of AMAN 2025 was the AMAN Dialogue, a high-level forum for discussing regional maritime security, naval cooperation, and strategic challenges in the maritime domain. Defense officials, naval leaders, and maritime security experts shared insights on ensuring freedom of navigation, safeguarding critical sea lanes, and countering asymmetric maritime threats.

The Royal Navy of Oman’s delegation underscored the significance of multilateral naval exercises like AMAN in enhancing regional security and fostering stronger defense partnerships. Oman’s active participation in AMAN 2025 reaffirmed its commitment to maritime stability in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), reinforcing collaboration with regional and global partners.
