Roketsan, Türkiye’s state-owned defense contractor, has officially signed an agreement with Indonesia to establish a joint missile production facility, marking a major advancement in Roketsan missile production Indonesia collaboration. The announcement was made by CEO Murat Ikinci during the 2025 Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
This strategic partnership underlines Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to expand its global defense footprint through joint manufacturing and technology transfer, beyond conventional exports.
“Türkiye’s defense industry cooperation is not just about selling products,” said Ikinci. “We offer our allies the opportunity to develop defense technologies together.”

The new facility, being developed with an Indonesian defense partner, will manufacture:
• Anti-ship missiles
• Cruise missiles
• Advanced smart munitions
The agreement also includes technology transfer, local infrastructure development, and training programs for Indonesian engineers and technicians—designed to build indigenous capabilities and enhance bilateral defense cooperation.
“This cooperation provides an opportunity not only to expand Türkiye’s industrial capabilities but also to help partner countries strengthen their own defense ecosystems,” Ikinci noted.
“We are aiming to rapidly expand our international collaborations to boost Türkiye’s defense exports,” he added.
This agreement demonstrates Türkiye’s growing leadership in global defense partnerships while enabling Indonesia to advance its domestic defense manufacturing and missile production capacity.
