Rosoboronexport showcased the newly developed Lancet-E loitering munition system at the Army 2024 International Military-Technical Forum, marking the global debut of this advanced export-oriented weapon. The Lancet-E, an upgraded version of the battle-proven Lancet system, is designed for precision strikes against armored vehicles, fortifications, and naval targets.
The system comprises the Z-16E reconnaissance UAV and two loitering munitions, Item 51-E, and Item 52-E, each with distinct capabilities in range and maximum takeoff weight.
Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport, highlighted the Lancet-E’s battlefield success and growing demand:
“The presentation of the Lancet-E at Army 2024 marked the beginning of Rosoboronexport’s global marketing campaign for this advanced system. Its combat effectiveness has been proven, with the capability to engage a wide range of targets, from armored vehicles and fortifications to naval threats. Given its success, we estimate an export potential of over 1,000 systems. Once the needs of the Russian Armed Forces are met, we are confident in our ability to supply the system internationally. Furthermore, Rosoboronexport actively offers technology partnerships for licensed and joint production at customer facilities.”

Beyond the Lancet-E, Rosoboronexport is actively promoting other unmanned aerial systems (UAS), including the Kub-E loitering munition, developed by Rostec’s Kalashnikov Group. Additionally, the Orlan-10E, Orlan-30, and Orion-E UAVs remain in high demand among international defense partners.
Rosoboronexport’s unmanned solutions extend beyond aerial platforms, offering surface unmanned motor boats, unmanned underwater vehicles, and ground robotic systems—reinforcing Russia’s expanding footprint in next-generation warfare technologies.
