Rostec Exhibits Combat Proven Mi-28NE Combat Helicopter at Army 2023

The Ninth “Army 2023” International Military-Technical Forum was held from 14th August to 20th August, at Patriot Park, Moskow. Russia’s State Corporation, “Rostec”, exhibits several kinds of combat-proven weapon systems including combat helicopters, tanks, armored vehicles, and EW systems. The display of the Mi-28NE gunship helicopter was the most prominent figure at the Army 2023 due to its success in the ongoing military operations.

The Mi-28NE is also known as Flying Tank due to its impressive firepower, agility, and high combat survivability in the air. The Mi-28NE has a maximum speed of 315 kilometers per hour and can fly up to an altitude of 5600 meters. This combat helicopter can carry a massive weapon load of up to 2100 kilograms that includes air-to-ground munitions and air-to-air missiles.

At the heart of the Mi-28NE’s combat prowess lies its state-of-the-art avionics suite. The helicopter boasts a comprehensive suite of sensors, including radar, electro-optical targeting systems, and laser rangefinders. This sensory fusion empowers pilots with real-time situational awareness, allowing them to detect and engage targets with precision accuracy, regardless of weather conditions. The lethality of Ni-28NE combat helicopter is also proved in the ongoing military operations of Russia.

The armament of the Mi-28NE helicopter includes a 30mm autocannon and different types of guided & unguided rockets and air-to-air missiles for interception and self-protection. Moreover, this helicopter is powered by two engines with a power of 2400 horsepower each.
