According to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), the Shenzhou-19 crew has been making steady progress in their in-orbit tasks following the successful completion of their second spacewalk on January 21, 2025, Beijing time. Since then, the crew has engaged in a range of critical operations, including rendezvous and docking training, a full-system emergency pressure drill, and experimental tasks spanning multiple scientific domains. These include space life sciences and human research, microgravity physics, and the development and testing of new space technologies.
To ensure the smooth execution of their upcoming spacewalk, the crew has undertaken comprehensive preparations. These efforts include monitoring the space station’s environment, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and conducting detailed inventory checks. Such measures are essential to maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring mission success.
At present, the space station complex remains in a stable state, and all systems are functioning as expected. The Shenzhou-19 crew is in good physical condition and fully prepared for the next phase of their mission. The third spacewalk is scheduled to take place in the coming days, once conditions are deemed favorable for its safe and effective completion.
