Ukrainian drone manufacturer Skyeton and French defense technology company Harmattan AI have announced a strategic partnership to integrate advanced military sensor systems into Skyeton’s Raybird unmanned aerial system (UAS). The collaboration aims to accelerate Raybird’s adoption in global markets while strengthening European defense cooperation.
Enhancing the Raybird UAS with AI-Powered Capabilities
Skyeton, known for its nearly two decades of engineering expertise in unmanned aviation, has positioned the Raybird UAS as a battle-proven platform with more than 350,000 combat flight hours. Widely used by Ukrainian defense forces, Raybird has demonstrated versatility in missions ranging from deep reconnaissance to border monitoring and disaster response.
By integrating Harmattan AI’s autonomous sensor technology and European assembly capacity, the two companies intend to deliver next-generation intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities tailored for modern defense operations.
“This collaboration demonstrates our commitment to working hand-in-hand with trusted allies to address today’s security challenges,” said Pavlo Shevchuk, International CEO of Skyeton. “By joining forces with Harmattan AI, we are reinforcing Europe’s defense capabilities and accelerating the Raybird’s adoption in key NATO markets such as France.”
Strengthening NATO and European Defense
Harmattan AI specializes in scalable, autonomous robotics and sensor integration, offering solutions that enable armed forces to deploy intelligence rapidly across complex environments.
“This partnership reflects our mission to equip our allies with scalable and autonomous capabilities,” said Mouad M’Ghari, CEO and Co-Founder of Harmattan AI. “By combining Harmattan AI’s unique portfolio of sensors with Skyeton’s battle-proven Raybird UAS, we are giving armed forces the ability to deploy intelligence where and when it matters most. Together we are reinforcing the strength of NATO forces and contributing to the security of Europe.”
The integration of Harmattan’s technology is expected to expand the Raybird’s adaptability, allowing it to support a broader range of mission-critical applications and enhance interoperability within NATO operations.
A Strategic Step for European Security
The partnership not only boosts the operational effectiveness of the Raybird UAS but also reflects a shared commitment to strengthening transnational defense ties. With France identified as a key NATO market, the collaboration highlights growing cooperation between the Ukrainian and French defense industries in advancing unmanned systems technology.
As European nations continue to modernize their defense capabilities, the Skyeton-Harmattan AI partnership positions the Raybird UAS as a reliable, scalable, and future-ready platform for allied forces.
