South Korea grounded entire F-35 fleet after crash incident

South Korea announced that, it has grounded entire F-35 fleet after a F-35 5th generation fighter aircraft made crash landing. Last week, a South Korea F-35 was forced to make an emergency landing after landing gear fails. South Korean Officials told AFP, “With the investigation underway, the entire [F-35] fleet is suspended from flying,”

It is the latest in a series of accidents for the Lockheed Martin’s F-35A stealth fighter after a British F-35 toppled into the Mediterranean sea during a failed takeoff from HMS Queen Elizabeth.

South Korean F-35 Fleet:

South Korea ordered 40 F-35A variants from its American maker Lockheed Martin in 2014, receiving the first batch five years later. As per Flight Global Annual Report 2022, South Korean Air Force has an active fleet of 30 F-35 Combat Aircrafts.
