The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has delivered another batch of new Su-35S multi-role fighter jets to the Ministry of Defense. The aircraft were manufactured at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yuri Gagarin.
“This batch of Su-35S aircraft completes the delivery of this type of aircraft under the current year’s program. UAC enterprises are supplying the Russian Aerospace Forces with modern aviation complexes in strict accordance with the delivery schedule. The employees of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant, like other UAC plants fulfilling the state defense order, are working in three shifts. Our employees understand the necessity and importance of their work,” said Yuri Slyusar. “Along with today’s delivery of multi-role Su-35S aircraft, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant is preparing to deliver another batch of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters by the end of the year”, he stated.
The Su-35S multi-role 4++ generation fighters have undergone a cycle of ground and flight tests in various operating modes and have made the flight from the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant aerodrome to their duty station.
