GIDS Marks Strong Presence at IQDEX 2025

Pakistan defense company GIDS (Global Industrial & Defence Solutions), the country’s largest state-owned defense conglomerate, participated in the 13th edition of the Iraq Defense Exhibition (IQDEX) 2025, held in Baghdad. GIDS presented a broad range of Pakistan’s indigenously developed defense systems, drawing significant attention from regional and international delegations.

At the forefront of its display were the Shahpar-II (Block-II) Medium Altitude Long Endurance UAV, Ranger VTOL UAV, Spider Anti-UAV System, and the Fatah-II Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS). These systems highlight Pakistan’s growing capability in unmanned technologies, counter-drone warfare, and precision strike solutions.

High-Level Meetings with Iraqi Defense Leadership

During the exhibition, the Pakistan defense company GIDS delegation held high-level discussions with Iraq’s senior military officials. These meetings focused on exploring avenues for defense collaboration, technology transfer, and joint development initiatives that support Iraq’s ongoing military modernization.

The engagements also emphasized enhancing interoperability and strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Iraq in the defense and security domain.

Promoting Regional Security Cooperation

IQDEX 2025 hosted over 150 defense companies from 22 countries, including Pakistan, Turkiye, China, Russia, Belarus, and India. GIDS’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to advancing regional security cooperation and expanding Pakistan’s footprint in the global defense industry.

As Pakistan’s defense company GIDS continues to export next-generation solutions, its presence at events like IQDEX positions the country as a key player in addressing modern military challenges.
